Art Director

Trekk’s Art Director uses graphic design skills, interactive design, desktop publishing expertise, and graphic production knowledge to design and produce successful marketing communications materials for our agency clients, developing visuals that communicate the client’s brand and message. The Art Director routinely ideates original creative concepts and is expected to be able to communicate creative rationales for those concepts both internally to colleagues and externally to clients. Extensive creativity and latitude are expected. The Art Director reports to the Creative Director.                                

Essential Duties

  1. Create and execute original concepts for clients using Adobe Creative Suite design programs
  2. Execute designs across multiple channels, including print, web, digital, and mobile
  3. Complete assigned projects and project components (design and production artwork), interfacing with supervisor and team members effectively to ensure quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction
  4. Present concepts to clients and successfully communicate creative rationales
  5. Perform quality control, including proofreading, continuity checking, and compliance with technical requirements
  6. Closely monitor billable hours to estimates and project profitability
  7. Stay organized in order to meet internal and external deadlines

Requirements and Skills

  • In-depth working knowledge of Windows and Mac computer systems and Adobe Creative Suite design programs (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign)
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Knowledge of production design (e.g., packaging print vs. digital files)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both internal peers and external partners and clients
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and software programs and investigate new solutions or approaches that may improve our ability to serve our clients
  • Interactive design tool experience (e.g., After Effects) is a plus but not a requirement

Training and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Arts or related field and 5+ years working experience in the field

Graphic Designer

Trekk’s Graphic Designer uses graphic design skills, interactive design, desktop publishing expertise, and graphic production knowledge to produce visual materials and content for our agency clients. The Graphic Designer is expected to generate and manipulate images, animation, text, and video, working with colleagues to ensure projects are completed on time and are of the highest quality. The Graphic Designer reports to the Creative Director.
